Hello everyone!
I just bought an '84 GL1200A this week and I can't wait to start racking up the miles on her. This bike is actually my second 1984 Honda motorcycle with a 4-cylinder engine, although the first one is a V4 rather than a Boxer 4.
I haven't ridden since parking my Magna 3 years ago due to it needing a bunch of work, not the least of which is a transmission rebuild thanks to a worn 2nd gear, and me not really having the desire to perform the work.
I started getting the itch to ride again this year and started contemplating trying to find the time, money, and space to fix the Magna up when I learned that family friend had a Gold Wing he was looking to sell.
I went for a visit and took a look at the bike and, when he told me how little he would sell it to me for, I shook his hand right there and showed up the next day with the cash and a new plate and sticker.
It runs great and looks great, considering it has spent the last 5 years sitting in a garage. The only issues I have found so far are a burnt/melted/corroded 3 Yellow Wire connector (fixed it last night) and a wonky signal light. I also need to replace a couple of missing reflectors and an "Aspencade" saddlebag badge.
I've already read a bunch of stuff on here and plan on reading lots more and even posting details of my adventures in Gold Wing ownership.
Here are a few pics of her (click 'em to enlarge):

Ride safe, everyone.
