hello, I have a 1985 LTD with this error message on the display panel "EEE", when the key is in the "P" position and bars turned to the left, the compressor fires up no problem, now if I do an auto level or try to increase air front or back nothing happens, the bike seems to ride as it always did,but we are going on a road trip next month and Im some what concerned, so I have some questions( if they can be answered) 1. is the bike ok to ride?2. why is there a air valve behind drivers side panel?(is it to add air if nessary?)should I get my shocks converted to regular ones?I talked to a shop in Calgary today, they said 5 to 600.00 in parts and 5 to 6 hrs at 90.00 per hr. im in shock so to speak ,no pun intended, any ideas or answers would be very much appericated,, thank-you Dave
I am getting ready to move and I can't find my books right now, but the EEE means the air ride system needs to be checked, as it is probably not working, mine has not worked for several months and will display EEE if I try to use it. I have benn too busy to fix it, but it seems to ride OK but I think my suspension is kind of soft.

The air valve under the little cover is to help put air into your tires if you have the connecting tube, but I have heard it takes a long time, and the compressor can get hot.

Good luck with yours, I am going to fix my system after I move, I want to have every thing working as new.
hello Dave,,thanks for your reply,Ive found a retired honda mechanic, who has a 1200 with 400000 km on it, hes only an hr from me , he said he will check myy bike from head to toe for me,hes not really up on the auto ride systems thou he will give it a shot, said he could change it over to regular shocks if I wanted. I will keep you posted,, thank-you for the reply to my earlier post,, have a good move,,, Dave
