I've looked in my Clymer manual for a diagram showing where the antenna cable splitter for the radio and cb is located but either I can't see it or it's not shown. My plan is to remove the splitter and run individual antennas to each unit. Can anyone help?
Ian, the splitter should be located under the left fairing pocket. It will have 1 incoming wire and 2 outgoing wires there will be 2 small screws on the top for matching the CB and AM/FM signals. It is about 1 1/2inches x 3 inches it could possibly be shoved up closer to the front of the fairing, find your incoming antenna wire and trace it until you come to the splitter box it should be the first thing you come to. If someone has removed it the antenna may be plugged into the CB only and the AM/FM may just have a short piece of wire laying in the fairing acting as an antenna or not have an antenna at all.
