Here are the 2 races after removal:

I touched up the paintwork as shown.
It just needs some lacquer now:

I got these seals from David Silver in the UK:
The Honda Part Number is 53214-371-010

This is what the rear caliper looked like before.

The pads were remove first of all so that I could get a good look
at the calipers condition.

This retaining plate was removed by opening this bolt:

Then the pins were withdrawn:

The pads then just lifted out:

to reveal this:

On examination of the caliper I found this protruding seal
which explains some of the binding brakes issue I encountered
before the strip down.

Using compressed Air I eventually extracted the pistons.
You can clearly see the offending seal here:

After removal of the seals I sand blasted the caliper.
I put this bolt loosely into the brake line port and tightened the nut
up against the port face to protect it from the sand blast process.
I have decided to replace the bleed nipple so i left it in position to protect
the orifice.

I packed rolled up newspaper into the cylinders to protect them:

Here is the caliper after application of etch primer:

I removed the newspaper before the finish coat and put a coating
of grease into the cylinder bores:

The grease was removed after the paint dried.
unfortunately I got some grease on the outside and
som paint came off in the area where the grease was.

I also sand blasted the brake pads to clean them
and gave them a lick of paint too:

The pistons are badly pitted as can be seen here:
