Western New York near the Pa border. 1985 LTD w/21k purchased from the original owner this spring. New tires and timing belts before purchase. Replaced front seals, rebuilt anti-dive units and installed Progressive springs in front forks. Changed antifreeze to non silicate, and have cleaned and checked all the connectors that are problematic with older Wings. Serviced her with Delo 400 15w40 and fresh filter. I like the results of that change... easier finding of neutral (note I wrote easier not easy) and quieter mechanical sounds when hot. Have ridden almost 3k so far and am in love with her. Longest ride a 7 hr journey with friends and their ladies to Wariton, Ontario, Canada. Getting back in the grove of riding after a nearly 20 year hiatus from 2 wheels. Last rides were RD 250 Yamaha early 70's and a 650 twin Suzuki in the early 80's. Goldy has been a real leap because of her size and weight but she is allowing me to learn without really injuring or making an ass of myself. Scuff marks on the road pegs don't count from me dropping her (at least 4 times :-L ) It seems I am no longer ten foot tall and bullet proof .... nor as strong or heavy as I once was....Ride safe and I will be checking in regularly.

Hey Roadman.
Welcome to the forum.
I bought the same bike last year and have done a fair bit of work to her since to get everything working but it's all good now and am absolutely loving the bike. :YMAPPLAUSE: :YMAPPLAUSE:

Welcome from NE Ohio, Roadman.

Your love affair with that 1200 will just keep growing and growing. I'm just as excited to hop on my old gal as I was the day I got her and I don't think that feeling will go away for a very long time!
Will try to get a pic attached here...
Harumph! Will work on it again tomorrow!
