Hi from Vancouver, BC - Guest - 01-11-2007

Hi there! Just stumbled upon this site by accident. It's just what I've been looking for!

I just bought an 84 Aspencade last month (merry Xmas to me) and am now waiting for some warmer weather before putting it on the road. I sold my 83 Interstate 5 years ago when I moved to the coast and have been itching to get back on two wheels ever since.

Good to be here!

Glad to have you aboard! These guys are full of info that can help the 1200 owner. Don't be afraid to ask any questions. Were all a big happy family here. 8)

Welcome, Walter. Always good to have another BC'er on board especially one with an '84. As I've noted in another post, the temperature here this morning is minus 29 C so you'll be riding before us!

-29, I knew there was a reason I never moved to PG! It's only -4 here but we had about a foot of snow yesterday. I'm hoping the weather is good enough at the end of the month to ride to the annual motorcycle show in Abbotsford.

I think we can tolerate the cold for a few days rather than suffer with the storms you guys have been having of late.

It's certainly been interesting here. At least we've avoided the many power outages. (Save for about an hour) One of our neighbors trees came down and just brushed up against his house and another ended up with enough of a lean that it needed to come down. They are forecasting a hot dry summer and really, that's all that counts!

We're hoping summer starts as soon as it can. Now that I'm retired, I have to make up a whole lot of miles.
