CB Radio - Guest - 05-05-2009

Hi all 85 Aspy Can I put a regular CB Radio antenna on my bike along with the am/fm radio antenna and both radios work? and what and how would I do that? Thanks

You could do that or you could get an antenna mount for the left side of the bike...

The antenna jack on the Honda line CB uses the same standard connection as does the AM/FM radio... Here's an antenna that you can mount to the above mounting bar and be able to fold down the antenna just like the antenna you have now (assuming you have a stock Honda antenna currently)...

The Panasonic install kit came with an antenna splitter. It mounts in the left fairing pocket. Dual whips are cool looking, but often times you have to cut them for matching to the cb or am radio. Then you have one longer than the other and "cool" just left the building. I prefer using the antenna splitter, since it has adjustable screws for matching. Should be able to pick one up on ebay for around 20 bucks or so. I'm sure radio shack probably has a box that'll do the same thing.

I have the stock antenna on the right side, But was thinking the CB mightwork better with an antenna of it's own.Maybe not!
