PO evidently stripped the head off one of the idle jet screws. Any ideas on how I can get it out?

First plug the hole in the jet with a tooth pick or similar and pour some liquid wrench, WD40 or other penetrating oil into the jet cavity and let it sit for a good long time (day(s)). There must be a reason why the PO destroyed the head (could be stuck, could be using too thin a screw driver, could be the PO works on locomotives!)
It has been awhile, if that jet is recessed, will a small EZ Out bit fit in the recession? If so, drill out the hole in the jet to a point where the EZ Out can get a good grip, but not so large as to damage the threads in the body of the carburetor.
If not, still drill a larger hole in the jet and try adding JB Weld (or other epoxy) to a bolt to the top of the jet, being careful not to get any weld on the inner walls of the recession. Let it cure (day(s)) and give it a twist.
As a last resort (barring other members suggestions) a new carburetor body from a used set may be in your future.

Finally got the pilot jet screw out by drilling a slightly smaller hole in the screw and then prying out the top part of the screw. I then blew out the rest thru the slow jet port. Finally got the carbs rebuilt and on the bike. Got them synced and it sure runs a lot better.

I have always enjoyed the feeling of accomplishment when I am able to tackle jobs such as yours.
All turned out great, on the road and running great â thatâs cool.
Now, the icing on the cake, just for kicks, call around to some repair shops and ask them for a ball park figure to get the jet out, rebuild the carburetors and sync them up.
Oh What a Feeling!!!!!
