How do I find an original Honda Shop Manual? - DannoDeManno - 11-17-2011
I'm shopping for a Genuine Honda Shop manual, not an after market. anyone have one to sell, or a line on how to determine if it's the real deal? Seems I've seen a black manual with red and gold on the cover, but how else can I tell if she's the real deal? Current ball park costs? And if you've got one to sell, shoot me a PM.

Just picked one up off ebay, got delivered today. Cover was only slightly worn but all pages were clean. $25. + $10. For years '84-'87. Was way less that my CBX manual. Some on there are very used but some nice clean ones too. Usually $45.-$60. is good. Later.

Sometimes Amazon.com sells them, like now there are two or three going for about $49
[BTW these are used book sellers and as such you can contact them and haggle over prices ... remember haggling? It used to be part of the good old capitalist, market-directed system! :YMALIEN: ]

I also bought an authentic shop manual two years ago intended for but NOT useful for my Interstate because it is for the "elite" GL1200s. I'll check to see what it is exactly and post that here.
Often, items NOT listed in N.America's eBay do show up in the U.K. ... for example:

Best buy cd with 20+ manual parts and service on ebay $12 for download + $5 if you went cd I have cd. parts books is a BIG + I printed out 2 of the parts book about 300 pages ea.. you can look at the pic and see all parts and how they go. + see what parts interchang in other models.here is a list of what you get. I have 2 manual that cost me over $90 that come on this cd.

Thanks for the tip! I just ordered the set. Even though I like thumbing through the original shop manuals, it sure is convenient to print out the section you need in the garage. Then you don't mind getting greasy finger prints all over the pages ... rather than in the pretty OEM manual.
