Trouble looking at pics

With Firefox or Chrome I am not able to view pictures that are attached to posts. Do I need a plug in? Not sure what is going on, thanks.

I use chrome and I can see the pictures?

Thanks for the reply Frank. I can see pictures that are embedded in the post. It's the ones that are attachments that I cannot view. I will try to get a post as an example.

Some of the pictures were lost when a file server closed.

If there are some you would like to look at and I can find them just let me know which post it is on (copy and paste the link) I will try to replace them.
