Neutral Light
I seem to have a problem with the Neutral Light coming on when I pull the clutch in all the way. Is this a switch problem at the clutch lever? Anyone have any ideas? Thank for reading this post....

There is a silicon rectifier, or better know as a diode, located in the neutral light circuit.
A diode is basically a one-way electronic switch, when working properly, will let electricity flow in one direction only.
Since one side of the neutral bulb gets power when the key is on, and the clutch switch will ground the circuit when the clutch lever is compressed, I suspect your silicon diode is defective and is allowing the neutral light to be grounded through the clutch switch.
From the picture of the harness for a 1984 Interstate, the diode appears to be located in the vicinity of the battery box, possibly under the seat. It should be a two prong plug and typically is a rectangular looking box.
If this is the part, two part numbers are currently available through Honda:
31700-124-003 (Stanley)
31700-124-008 (Shindengen)
both appear to be the same price.

I hope this helps.
