Hello, it would be the same as my 85 LTD
If you pull the axle out the speedo hub will come right off.
You may need to pull the brake callipers so you can pull the wheel away from the forks and it will all come apart.
If you need I can easily pull my wheel off and make sure I'm giving you the right information.

You'll have to remove the bottom axle holders as in the diagram SIR tricky shared,
The axle nut is also pinched by the axle keeper so you'll have to loosen them first

Installing front wheel

Grease the speedometer gear.
Install the speedometer gearbox in the wheel hub, aligning the gearbox notches with the retainer tangs.
Install the axle and collar from the right side.
Install and tighten the axle nut.
Torque: 60 N.m (44 ft-Ib)
Clean the brake discs with Honda Contact/Brake Cleaner or equivalent.
Check wheel balance (page 14-14).
Position the front wheel between the fork legs and lower
the forks onto the axle. Turn the speedometer gearbox
so the lug on the gear box is behind the lug on the fork leg.
Install the axle holders with the "arrow" facing forward.
Loosely install the axle holder nuts.
Install the right and left caliper assemblies on the fork legs.
Tighten the caliper bracket mount bolts.
Torque:
Upper bolt: 35 Nom (25 ft-Ib)
Lower bolt: 23 Nom (17 ft-Ib)
Tighten the axle holder forward nuts first, then the rear nuts.
Torque: 25 Nom (18 ft-Ib)
Connect the speedometer cable or sensor to the speedometer gearbox.

Rick has most of the info at his fingertips. One thing he didn't mention was to loosen the fork brace at any time during the procedure. After tightening the lower axle holder nuts fore and aft, tighten the fork brace. Loosening the brace allows the lower tubes to seat squarely on the axle and the caps.

Although this is in the section of the manual on disassembly and assembly of front forks.

In this case I assume the forks were not disassembled at the time.
