parts question

I am looking at getting a 1984 Interstate parts donor bike but I am not sure what pieces are NOT interchangeable with my 1985 Aspencade, .. I am about to upgrade to Progressive shocks front and rear and who knows what else while I have the bile dismantled :-)

The Interstate is running but not well and the plastic as the Current Owner calls it is removed and in need of repiar ? who knows but it is all there.. so

Just curious if any parts will not cross fit to the 85..

I know the starter is specific to 1984, but that is the extent of my knowledge

I just moved up from a '76 GL 1000 to my '86 GL 1200a Aspy but my local Honda dealers were more than happy to tell me if a part I found on ebay would fit my Aspy...give 'em a call

The pulse generators are different for 84, they are at the back of the motor.

Stray - you can try a site like Bike Bandit, they have OME specific info and you can look on there to see if parts are similar / different.
