Starter Removal - pics added + video
William did you carefully inspect the starter brush springs? If they have overheated or are rusted, they can lose their tension and not push hard enough on the brushes. Another problem can be a bad ground. Look for electrical arc points. And another problem can be a bad bushing which can cause the armature to drag against the starter housing, just look for tell tale scratch marks inside. If needed replace the bushing.
