Wanted -- 1200 seat
I don't see an actual "wanted" section, so hope this is in the best place.

I know this is a long shot, but thought I'd give it a try. I'm looking for a "tall man's" seat for a 1987 GL1200. I'm looking for something where the driver position has been moved back a couple of inches and up 1-2 inches. I was thinking that maybe someone had purchased a used bike that the PO had set up with a seat like this and it was either sitting around collecting dust or they were using it even though it wasn't a good fit for them. I'd like to find a Hartco or Diamond but will discuss any brand that is altered as I describe. It would need to be black (or with blue or gray panels if velour) but unless really low in price, I don't want to get into having to recover it as with purchase price and recover price, I might as well buy new.

If you have one and are using it even though it doesn't fit you, we may be able to work some type of trade. The PO of my '87 had the seat recovered and I have the receipt from April of 2008. Bike was ridden very little after that and it is in excellent condition.

If you have something that fits what I'm trying to find, drop me a line at hoss@kansascas.com with info.

Thanks,
Hoss

To all that emailed and replied -- FedEx just dropped off a Corbin seat that looks like it may do what I'm after. When it stops raining, I'll mount it up and find out.

To Mike in CA -- I'm not sure what board you saw my post on or what your screen name is, but thanks for being such a stand-up guy. It was a pleasure doing business with you.
