New guy from Minnesota
Hello from frigid Minnesota! Been lujrking for a while, and finally decided to post something. I finally bought my first Goldwing about a week ago. It is a 1985 Aspencade, and I absolutly love it. I rode a 2003 Yamaha Vstar 1100 for about 4 years, but had to sell it a couple of years ago. Wife rode a 2008 Honda Spirit. She is not liking the idea of being a passanger again, but she is just going to have to like it for a year or two, until we can afford to buy her a bike too. Went on my first ride over 20 miles on the wing today, put about 100 miles on it. Haad a blast!

Welcome from Ohio! My wife and I really have fun riding together. The times I am out on it by myself just don't feel the same way and she drove her own for several years too. She now enjoys just sitting back and listening to an audio book and looking at the countryside. It is amazing the small little country villages we have in this state that we have never seen before starting to ride again......

As of today, I have finally joined this site ( with a lot of assistance from Vic Belanger...thanks so much ) and even though I have riden for over 30 years...I am a new "winger" Now my old girl is an 84 Aspy but only has 76,000 ORIGINAL Km's ( 47,000 miles), rides great with no problems...well the exhaust is a bit noisy. I have been told I need gasket replcements, but being mechanically challenged, I am leery. If I take this apart after 27 years...will I create more problems that I will solve. Any suggestions.... Welcome from Minnesnowta (Dooloooth dontcha knooo)

If you are riding "up north", drop me a msg here and we can go for a ride. Northern MN is amazing for lots of beautiful country highways in great shape and views like Superior National Forest and the Lake Shore highway along Superior.

Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome! I am sure that we will make it up your way at some point. My wife lived up in Deluth for about 10 years, and her ex-inlaws still live up there, and we go up to see them once in a while. A few years ago, we went on a ride around lake Superier. We went up the North shore into Canada, went around and came back down into Michigan, and came across the top of Wisconsin. We were on the road 7 days, and 6 of those were in the rain. So we would like to do that trip again sometime.
