Goldwing Newbie from Ontario Canada
Hi All,

Just bought my 1986 GL1200 Aspencadelast Monday. My first ever GW ride was 6am Tuesday on a dark and rainy trip into work - it is a surprisingly easy bike to ride - even at low speeds, but I suspect a difficult one to ride competantly. And YES, I bought it without riding it - couldn't stand the thought of dropping somebody else's bike.

It is pretty cherry compared to every other 82-86 GW I had looked at. Several previous owners have lavished love and dollars tricking this bike out - I'm the lucky beneficiary Tongue .

It is garaged alongside my 85 VF750C-E Magna - I use the same name on V4musclebikes.com.

After being a Canadian peering into US websites, it is refreshing to find one with such an apparently strong Canadian connection.

I'll figure out how to make a signature and post a pic of my steed - bear with me.

Tip o the hat to a neighbor - if we get a warm weekend we should go ride the "Forks of the Credit".

Have done "the Forks" on my Magna with each member of my family A-W-S-O-M-E. We'll do it - if not this year, then next!

Stank! Just looked up your 10-20: the Forks are in my backyard - several hours for you 1060! BBQ is on me.

One mention of BBQ :-SS and people from thousands 'o miles jump in  Hi all and thanks for the welcome.

6:20 on a cold Monday morning and I'm about to ride to work again. Repaired and installed the wind deflectors yesterday - looks like I'm going to test them today.

Sounds like a good plan - I just got in, was out for four hours gotta ride when we can this time of year. Looks like rain for a week or two now. I bought this bike off a guy in Belfountain this summer -when we go we will bring him along (even though he rides a new Beamer )

Hello from Mount Hope and welcome to this site.

I have attached the link to the Southern Ontario Motorcycle shows listed in the EVENTS Forum on this site. Shortly on this topic there will most likely be a discussion of a breakfast on one of the mornings of the show being held in January at the International Center (Malton). In the past this breakfast has taken place at Zets Restaurant http://www.zets.ca/ across the road from the Air Canada Hangar on Derry Rd. Hopefully we will see you there!!!! Tongue Tongue

Hello there from Georgia, just north of Atlanta.

Good looking 1200 you have there, should give many years of riding enjoyment
Remember, No matter where you go...There you are!

Here is where I have ridden my 1984 GL1200I
I completed the lower 48 states in August 2009, riding the whole way with my Dad
