centre stand spring / rad cap

Hi,does anyone know of an alternative radiator cap that is compatible with the GL1200,
and is there a spring on each side of the centre stand and if so are they identicle ( i would have thought thy are) think i must have lost one but the Haynes Manual only shows one, Regards Len. |

I added a second spring to my center stand since I had an extra in the garage, it doesn't drop and slam back up when I hit a bump in the road anymore.
Yes you can get replacement radiator caps at the auto parts store, just take yours in and match it up. The 1200-1500 use an 11-13# or 0.9 rated cap, the 1800 uses a 14-15# or 1.1 cap. Mine kept running a little hot for a while and boiled out a couple of times till I put on the higher rating cap and have had no issues with it since.
