What happened to the site?
Just curious. This place was very active when I went on haitus in April (after blowing a head gasket and putting the 'wing to sleep for the Arizona summer).

I see that major technical issues came up, but I thought those were resolved.

So, where is everyone? The was a very active, fun crowd. I'd be sorry to see it fade away...

Darrell (who, by the way, has BIGGER trouble than head gaskets now...)

See this thread...

Summary: The old site became a PITA for Vic and Marty to keep alive, so they put it out of it's misery and moved to this new site, which works WAY better than the old one. It seems to have been a little quieter since the move, probably due to the frustration that folks had prior to the move. But it's still here.

Yep.... the bikes don't run so they dont break down Smile although on other forums it seemd that the 1500 and even the 1800 are now having their share of problems..... I will stick with my 1200.

the old board was being bombarded with activity coming from China Russia and the Ukraine to the point that for months it was nearly impossible to get on the site. this coupled with script errors in the old software brought the server to a standstill. only the very patient would wait to log onto the site during the troubled times. I'm quite sure many just gave up visiting and vic was very close to throwing in the towel.

I also moved the location of the board so I could throw off the robots, this made anybody that bookmarked the old site just hit thin air.

once the general public finds out that we are still up and running we will grow again.

this site contains so much knowledge with core people that know their stuff.

Is there anyway to regain my former posts and User name. I got caught up in some of the craziness and was somehow permenantly banned for a few months. Vic got me back on,,,after alot of work, but I was permanently denied again. I gave up for a few months and was finally able to re-register. I tried to use my old user name (wildwing) but it said it had already been taken, but my old posts show Guest. Anyway, I'm glad to be back. Thanks for your hard work.

I have been busy here since Hurricane Sandy and my computer finally crapped out so I only can access through my phone or xbox which is a PITA to type on.

When I log on to the site now, this is what I see.
The menu buttons are blocked.Clicking on the maroon bike brings me to a photobucket site.

To fix the banner with the badges and the bikes to all be across the top, I had to increase the size of my window and reduce the font size.

Hello All, I've been out of commission a while myself. I just have iPhone right now to get on site & went through TapaTalk. Everything seems to be working ok & old posts there too. Weathers great in Fla right now, but unfortunately bike is up north this winter. Can hardly wait for weather to break there. Sorry to hear the site had some problems, but glad to be back
