[/quote] my thermostat housing is below the rad.....i dont think i have to touch the rad. btw the 2 switchs for temp coolant and for the fan..i dont those see near the housing.i look in the books ( HONDA , CLYMERS ,HAYNES) and the pic are not like on my bike[/quote] Unless you have a one off bike :-... |

someone mentioned jamming a broom stick handle in and that worked to hold it.
Did you remove the springs prior to trying to remove the bottom bolt? They normal keep enough pressure on the lower piston to prevent it from turning while you undo the Allen bolt. |

Presuming the engine stop switch is in the correct position
And if your starter is OK and your solenoid is OK
The green/red wire that controls the solenoid should have continuity to ground
If that is OK
The Yellow/Red wire should show 12volts when the starter button is pushed.
