Membership Database

For no particular reason (other than perhaps I like data), I'd like to build a membership database. I'm sure it will have benefits over time but, for now, its a beta thing. To start, I'd like to hear from current and new members based in British Columbia, Washington and Oregon by e-mail or PM and containing the following information:

- Full name
- User name
- E-mail address
- Skype address (if applicable)
- Home telephone number (with area code)
- Cellular telephone number (with area code)
- Home address (please include street address, city, state/province, zip/postal code)
- Year, model and color/colour of 'Wing

Rest assured, any and all information gathered will not be shared with anyone or any firm not affiliated with this website. Even then, such information will not be disseminated without the prior written approval of the member(s) concerned.

One possible benefit would be to identify members by location so that potential meet-n-greets would be facilitated via direct contact rather than a general post to the site.

Oops I guess it will be in a PM as your profile does not include an Email address.

Ok, boys and girls, I'm being underwhelmed by the responses so thought I'd throw the whole thing open to all members. Please submit your information at your earliest opportunity by PM or e-mail. I can handle it! :-W

In order to better identify each other and our 'Wings, it has been suggested I include the license plate number for each entry. Therefore, please include same in your information PM or e-mail.

C'mon, folks...we have better than 2,600 members and only NINE have responded so far! Let's take a minute, answer the requests listed above (including the license plate number for your 'Wing, don't forget) and shoot a PM or e-mail to me. The more participation, the better the results.

Besides, I'm suffering from PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome) and want to keep busy.

I got to got out to the hanger and get the plate number. Then you will have info from Minnesota.

It's finially warmed up to about 0F so spring is on its way. $\:d/$

This is a great idea! Come on people, step up to the plate!

After giving it some thought, I'm not sure having plate numbers on the list is a great idea. We do have a lot of personal info out there as it is. Not sure that there would be a benefit to adding that one. Opinions?

Walter, unless you have access to a law enforcement database you'll find out nothing about me using my plate number whereas the phone book would take you to my door step "On the back of Kenners bike"

The benefit as I see it is that if you go to meet someone new and there are ten or more Wings there the plate number could help you meet up with him/her.

As for the license plate issue, I figured it's out there for all to see when we're riding anyway and having it in a semi-private database will only make it easier for people to identify the 'Wing of a "new" friend.

If anyone does not wish to include the plate number, that's fine, too.
