I bought a 1987 GL1200 yesterday with 27K miles. Drove excellent on my 2 hour drive home. This is my first wing...
When I buy an older used car in great condition that I want to last and don't have maintenance records I know what to do: timing belts, pulley, tensioner, water pump, all fluids (PS/Brake/Oil/Trans/Coolant), new pcv valve radiator hoses. What should be on my to do list over the next year as I try to make sure it's getting the love it deserves.
I know oil and spark plugs were changed annually by the guy who owned the last 6 years and he bought it from his brother.

Sounds like you found a great bike! My 85 Limited only has 36K on it, I love that old bike.
