Rear brake rotor change on SEI - TNroadrider - 01-22-2008

Now that the weather is messy enough to catch up on some things to do around the shop the rear brake rotor on my '86 SEI is in need of changing, other than going back to Mother Honda who do you recommend for aftermarket 1200 rotors and what part numbers did you order?

EBC brakes are good and more reasonable than Mother Hondas. Look up the part number you need on the first list and then use the second link for pricing and ordering.

For the SE-i, that rear brake rotor would be this rat cheer, for $186.53:

Honda's part number is 43120-MG9-000, for only (GASP!) $345.72 through Hondaline.

either go ebc or risk picking one up off ebay... usually if you KNOW a wrecker you can count on the quality (like frenchie for 1000-1100's)

I installed a complete set of EBC rotors and pads on an 85 Aspencade last spring and can tell you that they work flawlessly. I think that they are an improvement over the stock Honda items.

Now we're talking, better quality at a lower price, right down my alley.
Thanks everyone for your input.

Hey Vic, Idea how about making a sticky with the web addresses to the ECB web site listed here in Exavids' reply and post it at the beginning of the brake & suspension section. This way it would help members locate a reliable vendor for those hard to find rotors and pads.

All anyone has to do is search on EBC and they will find this info.
