I had the same thing when I stripped mine down earlier this winter, I couldn't see a reason for it other than at some time there might have been a low enough pressure in the system to allow it to seep back into the valve.
Don't forget to dry or replace the desiccant.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.
