Pitted bead surface on wheels
Pulled the front tire off and cleaned the wheel.

My wheel is a little pitted where the tire bead will be.
Is this a normal thing?
Do I need to worry about getting a perfect seal between tire and wheel?
I do not want to run FixaFlat in the tires.

PO had put FixaFlat in front tire, I found all of it caked up on the wheel, not on the outermost surface inside the tire.
There was no evidence of it, where all logic would say it should be.

I thought of putting a 'small' bead of clear water based caulk between tire and rim, is that a bad thing to do?

What about Dyna Beads?

Dave. Our tires are tubeless. Don't use anything on the bead sealing surface other than a tire bead sealing compound. Tires can slip on the wheel. Tubed tires don't suffer from that concern. Who's mounting the tire? If not you, get their opinion. Spin balance is always best.

I may take it to the Honda shop to mount.
Since our wheels only offer us a centered weight mounting, unlike a car wheel where we can have inside or out side rim weights, does a spin balanced wheel like ours really run smoother than a good static balance?

I hope thing are doing well for you and yours.

Really depends on who does the balancing, don't it? The Honda store may or may not mount your tire. If you didn't buy it from them, they may not want to assume the liability. Sucks, but that's the real world...
