That's the Cycle Innovations intake manifold. It's discussed quite often on my other website http://groups.msn.com/BackYardBuiltGold ... /home.msnw

Feel free to tell your buddies to stop in there and say hello, I'm sure the members would love to hear from the original designers of this intake manifold.

Also tell your buddies that I appreciate what they did with that trike. That was a big undertaking and they did a great job.

Is this manifold a good thing? Does it improve a 1200s performance? I have heard about it but I don't know anyone who has tried it. Does anyone know anything about it?

Performance and fuel economy decreases but maintenance and upkeep decreases. This setup was built for the older GL1100 Wing which had more troublesome carbs. The GL1200 is much more troublefree and it's rare to see a single carb on a 1200.

Thanks Vic, I have to agree, my carbs are working great. I can see how maintenance would be down with a 4 in 1 but I like my performance and fuel economy the way it is. It would be interesting to hear from the person who invented the 4 in 1, that is quite an achievement.

Several guys at my other website http://groups.msn.com/BackYardBuiltGold ... /home.msnw have built single carb conversions for the Gold Wing engine. Go have have a look around if you like.
