Speakers

The speakers on my 'Wing are failing after almost 24 years so I thought I'd replace them. To get a base price, I called the local Honda shop and was informed stock replacements would be $118.91 each plus taxes for a total of almost $270 Cdn. Geez...
I then went to eBay and found a set listed for $17.95 US plus $17.50 shipping. They are apparently 15 watt versus 8 watt for the stock units. The seller's feedback was 99.3% positive on 900 sales so I ordered a set. The item number is 180185891209 in case anyone else is interested. Hopefully, they will do the job. |

You can also get a very nice sounding set of speakers at Canadian Tire or most any stereo shop for between $20. and $40.

Walmart have a 4" speaker that will fit. Just make sure they dont have a tweeter that sticks out past the metal frame. I think they were about $24
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

Just a warning I bought a couple of cheaper speakers from a discount place in Canada called Princess Auto, similar to Harbour Freight. Unfortunately they cut the volume down by 1/2 so I took them out. I see that they are 8 OHM instead of the original 4 OHM and I think that is the problem. Keep that in mind when replacing.
