Stupid $#@*& Stupid %^&$# Stereo
Maybe it is me, not the stereo.

I have been working on it a week now and thought I was ready to button it up and ride with a factory stereo again...... NOT!!!!!! Sad Sad Sad

The radio works perfectly and will rock your sox off, with the engine off that is.

Crank the engine and it still sounds great, crack the throttle a bit and it goes haywire.
The speakers seem to pull in a bit and the sound goes away, return to idle and it works right again.

Plug in the headsets and it works right all the time, high RPM's low RPM's and all.

What could this be?????

Thanks Jim

Is this an after market stereo?

Your post hints of such?

The headsets derive their power directly from the radio.
The speakers are powered by the amplifier which is also controlled by the AVC
Have you tried removing the AVC by directly hooking up the radio 5 pin DIN to the Amplifier input
