Brakes
OK, im a rookie when it comes to brakes, others I ride with tell me to do my brakes myself, I have two issues and dont want to spend a ton to get it complete.

1 - I need to get both tires/rims off to get the new tires mounted

2 - I have new brakes to be installed as well.

Problem is, I know I can do the fronts without issue, the rear is what skeers me. Any idea's or places to go for help on the rear of my 87 Interstate?

thanks

Mike

Mike if you can do the fronts no problem then you can do the rear brakes no problem.

Go ahead and get started and ask questions here as you go along.

The biggest problem most guys run into with the rear is remembering where the spacers go on the axle so just mark them before you take them off. The only other difficulty is the lower shock bolts especially the right side. Spray it down with rust penetrant before you start.

Don't forget to remove the valve cores in both tires so that it'll be easier to get the tires out.

Lastly, make sure you lube the wheel splines with moly 60 grease or better.
