85 LTD Radio noise, CB squelch and Kickstand/neutral switch

85 Limited Edition Yeah a long subject line. Well, here are the issues. for some time now, when I put the bike in neutral, the neutral light does not come on. Yes the bulb is fine. To start the bike in neutral, I also need the clutch in ( no neutral light ). Also, after starting and with the radio on ( FM ) and kickstand still down, I get a low level hiss noise. Kick stand up....noise goes away. Also, I had not used the CB for sometime and yesterday I noticed that a similar thing was happening. Kickstand down...little or no squelch noise...kickstand up....squelch blasts. Now I figure that the solution lies somewhere in the kickstand assembly where it meets or connects with a switch or two when placed in the up position. Anyone have any thoughts before I try and crawl under. Looked in the Clymers manual and did not find any articles on the subject of the kickstand and neutral switch....go figure. Thanks to everyone in advance

AFAIK there is no warning switch on the 1200 kickstands unless the PO had installed something. I think you need to investigate down under and see what is happening.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.
