84 Aspy sits high
Hello everyone, my 84 Aspy seems to sit higher than others I have compared it to, as a result it leans over further on the sidestand, and possibly makes the bike more difficult to get on the center stand... anyone have any advice...or experience... thanks

How much air do you have in your suspension?

The frame section at the sidestand may be bent out and needs straightening. If the bike is higher it should be easier to place on the center stand.

make sure the bolt that holds the sidestand is tight, then put it up on the center stand and see if you have slop in the sidestand unloaded,if so that is part of the problem you need to fix that so that it is minimal,i had to put a washer in mine so that i could draw it tighter and minimize that sloppiness

I did hear of someone reaming the hole to 1/2" and replacing the stock bolt with fine thread 1/2" bolt and a lock nut.

The frame hole gets elongated because of lack of Lubricant I would imagine.

Possibly you may be able to ream the one side out and shim the shoulder of the bolt.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

Good advice, I compared mine to a couple of others, the play in the stand is about the same, I will put a washer in there to tighten it up....as for pics, what would you like to see, my thoughts are bike on center stand, rear wheel off the ground, center stand to ground...any other ideas... thanks again to all
