Dragged the beast home
Greetings again, Wow, post #3 !!!

I recently traveled to Las Vegas to pick up my 86 Aspy to start the rebirth. She has been sitting for 5 years. Got her home and replaced the battery. Tossed in a gallon or so of gas and she fired right up. Just wanted to see if I had any surprises in store for me. It was really just what I had expected. Fuel leaks at the carbs, so a Randakk master kit is the first thing on the list. While I'm waiting for that I'll do the fluid changes and the timing belts. Not bad for sitting around that long. Wish me luck,

Hope the pics work, never did this before.

Pictures look great. Wish I could run upon a Aspencade to go with my two Interstates. Bike looks great and I am sure you will have it going in no time.

Welcome to the site Old Dog. And just like an old dog, here's hoping she'll make a fine companion!

Ok, I must ask... do you intend on keeping the "4 Q" on the bag? lol

LOL, No, that will be gone with the winter repaint. Plan is to do the mechanicals now and enjoy the summer, then when the winter hits up here, tear her down for the fancy stuff.

This is my third Wing. I had a 76 that I wish I still had, this 86 and an 89. Sold the 89 and kept the 86. I like the 1200 better personally.

Nice bike, also you have good taste to keep the 1200. I am sure you will get her up and running with no problems.
