Progressive fork spring preload spacer length ?
Hello and happy new year ! I was wondering what the general opinion on SPACERS for PRELOAD and OIL in the progressive fork spring was. I did the seals and sliders a few months ago and wish I had replaced the springs than. I did a search and had a online chat with progressive and they said 1/2 inch above the top of the tube! That did'nt sound right. I got the springs when I got tires with free shipping from kirk. E3s and progressive springs for less than 300usd delivered. Any advice would be great . I will be making a tool to put it back together. Thanks again joe

Yup, no spacer with Progressives. As I recall, they stuck up about 1/2 inch above the tubes. Took a lot less effort to replace fork caps than with the stock springs as well. Pay close attention to what is in the installation instructions about amount of fork oil. The manual says one thing but with the Progressives you want to be mindful of what they say about oil height vice quantity. I wound up using slightly less than the factory fill and so far so good.
