My 85 Aspencade needs new mirrors, and I was looking at these.

If they are genuine Honda, that's a real good price. If not, don't waste your money. The replacements won't hold position and shake like crazy till they fall down.

If you read the ad, they are EMGO, not OEM! Such being the case, I'd pass and keep looking for the real items. I managed to find two new Honda items last year on eBay for about $70 each but it took some looking and patience.

I have these. one side stays up fine. he other does not. Considered superglueing them in place.

For the price, superglue may be your friend. Smile Especially if you need them now.

On the side that will not stay up far enough, I placed a convex round mirror piece. when the mirror turns down. that works fine...

But yes, if you can get real, get them.

One more thing, the emigo often have color inserts in the front of them. make sre they match the bike or that is a waste of money...

"Okay here is my trick.
This will work with a loose stock Mirror or the el-cheapo aftermarket mirrors as well.

1. Get your self a 1 1/2 inch 7/32 bolt and a ny-lock nut with two washers.
2. Remove the rubber boot,(Mirror off-on.
3. Then go for a ride to set the mirror where you want it.
4. Drill a 7/32 hole all the way through the outside and center Ball.
5. Now change the drill bit to a 1/4 inch.
6. Now drill just the outside holes to this size (each side, not all the way through this time.
7. Now install the bolt,ny-lock nut, washers one each side, and tighten.
8. trim off the excess bolt with a Dremmel tool or hacksaw.
9. Remove the mirror and install the boot again.
Your Done!

This way will allow for minor bumping of the mirror, and will still be adjustable,Yet it wont put stress on the Fairing mount if it was a Solid connection, because it is still able to move slightly.

I just checked; and these mirrors are not original style. They have a brushed(?) aluminum back on them. QUESTION: has anybody had them and removed the backing, without harming the plastic of the mirror?

Not certain but I think the aluminum is a stick on after market
