Good non-air rear shocks (progressive)
Turning an 85 aspencade (or at least most of one) into a custom, naked wing.

The air compressor was removed (by the previous owner). I am looking to keep this a little more basic. Anyone recommend a good progressive shock, without air.

If you add a shrader valve to the existing shocks you can keep them and use a bicycle pump to adjust the pressure in them.

Most common quote from a cager after killing a motorcyclist.

"I never saw him" instead of "I never looked for him".

I found what I want and just ordered them. Can't believe the price. They should work just fine with the preload set on the highest setting. I removed all the on board air compressor stuff from my '85 LTD. It was a huge mess with rotted lines everywhere. Pretty shocks, should look nice on a naked setup.

Let us know how they ride. I might buy a set for my 84 Aspy. My air shocks bottom out, but don't leak a drop of oil. I think they're just worn out #-O

DO NOT BUY THE SPRING TYPE SHOCKS FROM SABER CYCLE, THEY WILL NOT SUPPORT THE REAR OF MY 1200I WITH A NORMAL LOAD. CONTACTED SABER AND ALL I GOT WAS A ENDRUN TRYING TO PUT THE BURDEN OF PROOF BACK ON ME. I DO NOT THINK THAT I AM THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THESE SHOCKS, THEY ARE JUNK. ANOTHER LESSON LEARNED, YOU SOMETIMES DONT GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CHEAP. DONT BUY!!!
