Fork brace?
I been reading that these aftermarket gl1200 frok braces improve the handling. Has anyone here installed these and if so, what are your thoughts?

I have one and yes, it does improve stability in cornering and I don't know for sure because I changed tire brands but cupping is reduced. (could be the tire change though).

BUT the down side is it seems that you feel a lot more of the road. They "Claim" you'll feel less of the road. I think it's the opposite you feel it more it's just more stable so that extra feel is not of a concern.

i had one and uninstalled it and replaced it with a stock one so that i could mount some aftermarket fork tube covers that keep debris off the fork tubes

i have not noticed any difference but then again i am not one who rides to the limit on turns etc

I have wondered about them myself, my 87 Aspencade front end wobbles or shimmy's at about 40 to 45 mph more so on deceleration. Only if I have one hand on the handlebars.(I know, I know) It is a little unsettling to say the least. Tire psi is correct, tire is balanced. The guy I got the bike from said it always did that and all Goldings do it, for that matter all full dress bikes. Of course I do not believe him. What do you Guys say?

I installed the Super-Brace this season along with front and rear Progressive shocks, so it's hard to tell what difference it made.
