Stainless Steel Lines for foot-activated brake
This fall I had a Honda dealer replace the front brake line with stainless steel braided line and it made a real difference.

Where can I buy the lines for the rear combo system with the proper fittings (I am in Mid-West Ontario) and are they easy for a Saturday bike mechanic with minimal tools to replace?

...or is the bleeding that tough that I should leave this to the experts?

Thanks, Robbin

You could pull off the old lines and take them to a choppershop or a harley dealer. You are looking for them to be carying goodridge or Rusell universal brake lines. They come in different lenghts and then you buy the proper fittings put them together and install the lines. Thats my plan of attack.

Robin, Just went through this fun. Got my brake lines from Spiegler. Rear line is not bad. Remove the left saddlebag to gain access. The line that goes up to the front is another story all together. The metal line that leaves the rear master cylinder connects to the rubber line that goes to the front wheel under the ignition coils. Not fun. Had to remove among other things, The seat, false shelter, CDi unit, loosen the ignition coils and move them, and the top of the air box to be able to get a pair of wrenches on the connection. Suggest buying a set of metric line wrenches. As for bleeding I used the syringe method of pushing the fluid. Then bled them the regular way after letting it sit for a few days. Good Luck.

The thing is Mike that Venco does have the brake hoses but I believe that they are made of gold there because they are roughly 3 times the price of the ones I listed above.
