Fork oil and Progressive front fork springs
Hi all,
I am about to do a upgrade on the front fork springs on my 87' Aspencade.
My question is should I use the standard ATF or go with a thicker 10-15 weight?? I did this to a 1983 650 Silverwing Interstate eons ago and used the thicker fork oil, what a difference, only I don't know if it was because of the progressive suspension being that much better or the combination of both!!
Anyone that has experience with this please offer some advise. I'm not ready to start today, probably won't do it until next weekend. Thanks in advance.

I installed progressives in the front of our 86 wing, went with the 15W.

After a 1100 kilometer (700 mile) trip in Cape Breton,Nova Scotia, and PEI just recently I would not do any thing different.

Much firmer road feel, minimal nose dive in braking, greatly improved cornering ability.
