Installing a alternator conversion

Yup, i get my "string" yanked a lot.   It was a very pretty place and I'm sorry it burned. I don't know how big to plan an event, but if a lot of people should want to do it I can get together some Opry packages, etc. and make it a real party. It seems that a number of us are retired, (I'm not) and others have means to travel a bit.
I'll keep it open and if we do it, we can make it a nice event. I know a guy who's won all kinds of Bar-B-Que competitions who would drag his cooker over and I have a good buddy who's a Pepsi sales rep so food and drink shouldn't be a problem. (No booze) Hey Chas. no welding unless you want to do something wild. See the post below "Alternator conversion by Sundance" and that should answer most of your questions. I think it would be fun to have a lot of conversions in so that we could see the different techniques used by different folks. Spring is a long way off, but it gives folks time to decide if they want to come, so let me know. |

I am also interested in the alternator conversion. I would love to make the ride from Knoxville. This definitely needs to be planned.

Well... it seems that we might have enough takers to make this work. Shall I start a new thread dedicated to this workshop and get it in the planning stages?

Bill
That would be best. Maybe do a sticky so it would stay. I'm open to most any date except the month of June. I ride rt 66 to Ca. every June. I hope to be able to continue from Santa Monica to Fairbanks, Alaska next year. Poorboy |
