Well, this is turning out to be an AMAZING day for me!! I now know what a Mercury lead sled is, as well as whom Allan Jackson is! My knowledge of the land of my birth grows by leaps and bounds, thanks to the kindness of my fellow Gold Wing enthusiasts!! **==

If I could actually be so fortunate as to secure an 85 Limited and an 86 SEi in decent condition, I swear I would stop acquiring GL's! Well, at least until the Autumn....

Hello all...

I sold the Wing today ! It was a fine ride for the two years that I had her. Thank you all for your e-mails and words of advise.

There was a tremendous amount of speculation of Dave from Singapore. Even I had my doubts at first. However, after a good number of e-mails and phone calls, we finalized a deal. Dave was, and is, legit. A fine man who stands behind his word. His State side personal assistant Nick, was the nicest guy you'd want to meet. Nick showed up today with truck, trailer and cash. We drove to my bank to make the transaction. After the cash was in my account, I signed over the title and gave a bill of sale in front of the customer service rep. We drove back to the house and loaded everything up. Dave is now the proud owner of a mint condition 85 LTD. I hope he will enjoy it in his growing collection of rare Goldwings. Best wishes Dave !

Good morning, Everyone!

And thank-you VERY sincerely, Adam, for both your kind words and all your wonderfully gracious assistance in making this transaction happen. Nick is indeed the nicest chap anyone would ever want to meet, and I am fortunate WELL beyond words to not only have him in my employ, but to enjoy a wonderful friendship with him as well (that is he in the second photo, btw). Nick has e-mailed me to confirm that he and the bike are safely ensconced back in Lake Placid, and that the journey was without incident.

Now, I just need to make it back State-side to be able to experience this wonderful bike's presence in person! But fear not - Nick takes AMAZINGLY good care of all my bikes in my absence.

Thank-you again, Adam, your cherished and important Gold Wing shall be equally as treasured in her new home. :d
